Grow your savings automatically as you use your Regions Visa® Debit Card.

It's easy to save with Spend & Save.

Simply enroll your checking account and choose how much you want to transfer to your savings or money market account with each debit card purchase^[1]. Then, shop and pay bills with your debit card as you normally do. When your purchases post to your checking account, we’ll automatically transfer your total savings at the end of the day. It’s that simple.

All you need to get started is a Regions personal checking account^[2] with an activated debit card^[3] and an eligible savings or money market account.^[4]

Log in to Regions Online Banking.
From your Account Overview page, select Enroll in Spend & Save.
Follow the steps to select your accounts and the amount to save.

How the Spend & Save Program Works

Decide how much you want to save.

Select the amount to save each time you use your debit card to make a purchase. Choose between $0.50 to $5.00 and change it anytime.

Make your everyday purchases.

Shop and pay bills as you normally do. We’ll track the number of times you use your debit card and multiply that number by the amount you selected.

Watch your savings grow daily.

When your purchases post, we’ll transfer your total savings for the day to your savings or money market account.

The more you spend, the more you save.

Let’s say you select $3 as the amount to save and you use your debit card to make purchases throughout the week.

Filled up your gas tank on Sunday
Bought coffee on the way to work on Monday
Paid your phone bill on Monday

On Tuesday, the three transactions post to your account. We’ll count the number of posted debit card purchases^[5] (in this instance, three) for the day and multiply the total by the $3 amount you selected to save. That night, we’ll make one transfer from your checking to your savings or money market account.

Spend & Save FAQs

Only posted debit card transactions for the purchase of goods and services (including recurring purchase or bill pay transactions you have set up on your debit card and including payments you make with the debit card through certain person-to-person payment services) are counted in the program. Pending, but not posted, debit card transactions and debit card transactions for ATM withdrawals and for cash advances are not counted. Please read the Spend & Save Program Terms and Conditions as other restrictions or limitations may apply.
You must have a Regions personal or Private Wealth Management checking account that is open, active, and in good standing according to our deposit account policies (the “checking account”). The Regions Now Card and Regions SafeGuard Checking are not eligible as checking accounts in the Program.
The checking account must have at least one activated Regions Visa® Debit Card (the “debit card”).
An owner on the checking account must be an owner on a Regions personal or Private Wealth Management savings or money market account that is open, active and in good standing according to our deposit account policies and that may be linked to the checking account for receipt of the program automatic funds transfers (the “savings account”).

It is not necessary for all owners on the checking account to be owners on the savings account. Regions Explore Card Savings and Regions Now Savings are not eligible as savings accounts in the program. Deposit processing system limitations may prevent the linkage of certain checking accounts and savings accounts.
Enrollment, unenrollment, and changes in program elections must be completed before 9:00 p.m. Central Time on a business day in order to be effective in nightly processing for that business day. Please read the Spend & Save Program Terms and Conditions as other restrictions or limitations may apply.
