We provide debt and equity financing for income- and rent-restricted apartment properties throughout the country. Our experienced team of bankers originate, underwrite, and close tax credit properties for Regions’ own account or on behalf of institutional investors through proprietary or multi-investor funds. Regions Affordable Housing has the balance sheet of one of the nation’s largest banks to provide construction and equity bridge financing, and a dedicated team to underwrite and close HUD, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lender placements.

In 2016, Regions Bank acquired the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) corporate fund syndication and asset management businesses of First Sterling Financial Inc., complementing Regions’ Community Investment Capital, Real Estate and Capital Markets capabilities to serve more clients and communities. The integrated groups became the Regions Affordable Housing division, one of the nation’s largest participants in affordable housing finance through the LIHTC program. Our combined commitment to the affordable housing industry spans over three decades and more than 1,400 properties in 45 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico.
